Default House of Kraus - Show us your mess

Well, I haven't experienced it yet, but I thought it would be fun to have a thread to post pictures of fermentation disasters. Let the games begin!

Umm... I think the OP was talking about brewing beer.

I don't think you're going to get many takers...usually when someone posts a brewing disaster thread and we ask, the answer is usually something akin to "we were too "#@$%#@# busy cleaning up the mess to take pictures."

So I'm thinking as cool as it would be....maybe not so much activity on this thread...

But if you look hard enough, you may be able to find the bouncing better bottle video...that's almost brewing accident porn.

+1, These threads have been attempted before, but think about it. If this happened to you, Do you think SWMBO would honestly let you run, and grab a camera before cleaning it up, allowing it to soak further into her precious carpet! Especially thanks to our good friend Murphy, these usually happen best with Porters and Stouts in your white carpeted Room.

Exactly. I came home last night after a weekend away, found crap all over my bucket and a plugged airlock...it was past midnight, and I was too tired to do anything but clean, sanitize, and put everything back together...if it happens again, I'll snap a shot.

In the meantime...anyone have a tip for cleaning gunk out of a three-piece fermentation lock?

Give it a good long soak in Oxyclean and hot water. That gunk doesn't stand a chance.
