I got a Carboy new, and there are a whole bunch of horrizontal lines around the carboy. My hand runs smooth across the glass. I figure if its a crack, I would feel it. So is it just imperfections?

If cleaned with OxyClean or something similar, carboy brushes can leave lines of residue that don't rinse off in anything but a StarSan soak. I've had that happen. As a result, I OxyClean first, and then rinse with StarSan to break down the residue...

All of my carboys have those lines around the neck. I've used them many times with no problems.
