Hops characteristics
 

I'm looking for a type of hops that has the most pronounced piney flavor/aroma, and want to make a SMaSH. I've read many descriptions on hops and several state "piney" in the description, but I thought I would ask the community. What's your favorite hop for its piney characteristic?

Simcoe or Chinook...

Definitely Simcoe

i would say Cascade. Chinook is another good choice.

Look no further than Simcoe. And Chinook.

Chinook for pine. Simcoe for pine w hint of citrus. I love both!

Thanks, those are the two that I had narrowed it down to. Now to find Simcoe.

Good luck with that. My LHBS said they had them but didn't, Freshhops didn't have any, Morebeer is out, and I just placed an order with NB and they said they were out of pellets but had Simcoe leaf (I was all excited) but then it turned out they didn't. Fortunately the Harvest is upon us

That's what I was getting at. Yeah, it won't be very long now and we'll be rolling in hops, makin' magic.
