Homebrews validated - Deemed Tasty!
|
|
Well, last night made me feel very good. SWMBO threw me a birthday party and the 3 brews on tap were a hit. I setup small tasting cups on the kegerator for folks to "sample" and in case they did not care for it, I had a case of Spaten Munich and a case of Hofbrau Oktoberfest on ice.
Needless to say, I still have a case of Spaten and Hofbrau on ice. I'm sure all of you can appreciate the feeling when someone enjoys the fruits of your labor and they let you know it. It was great as guest went and pulled their own beer or cider all evening long.
To top things off, SWMBO unveiled my birthday cake. What a surprise, a German Chocolate Cake.
I couldn't find my camera, so the phone had to do. I had to get a picture before we sliced it up. My wife outdid herself. I am a lucky man indeed!

That has to be the best compliment a homebrewer can recieve - a cooler still full of back-up beer, because nobody wanted it!
Happy birthday!
