Default Homebrew Legal!! (circa 1978)

Hello all, I will be brewing a "Revolution Bitter" today in honor of October 14th and the formal legalization of homebrewing. Figured this weekend would be a big weekend for homebrewers. Roll call for recipes to be brewed on this historic day?

Revolution Bitter: 5g extract (Special Bitter with UK hops and US grain)
Steeping Grains -
1lb Crystal 60L
0.5lb US 2-Row Pale

Fermentables -
1lb Amber DME
1lb Light DME
3.3lb Extra Light LME
0.5lb local honey

Hops -
2 oz EKG 4.5% @60min
0.5oz Fuggles 5.3% @60min

Adjuncts -
Irish Moss

Yeast -
Whitbread Ale 1099 with 0.8L starter

I'm bottling . . . a lot.

But it's still in the spirit of celebration!

My PM pale ale is still bubbling away very slowly. Gettin close...
But I keep thinkin I read 1979 for the year Jimmy Carter signed it into law, modifying the wording that was messed up back in '33.

I think it was signed in 1978, then passed/finalized the following spring.

I'll be bottling my American Cream Ale and throwing some vanilla beans in my porter today.

One of the few things Carter did right.

Just cleaning kegs and the brew room today, getting ready for new glycol lines for the taps.

I was wondering, why are you are steeping a little amount of 2 row base malt?
