Default Home Grown Hops

Hey Everyone,

Looking to start home growing hops. Anyone know of a good, reputable source to get rhizomes from? Either locally (denver), or online?

Cheers!

Depending on how many your looking for and how much $$$ you got to spend, I'd highly suggest checking out Great Lakes Hops -http://www.greatlakeshops.com/

Your buying hop crowns, the main root system, and not a rhizome, so they're a bit more expensive. But, you've got better chances of 1st year production. Also check out the Hops Growing section of the forum and the For Sale section. I believe someone named Helix.... something or other is selling rhizomes still and people are happy.

http://freshops.com/ is where I've ordered from in the past. I have Cascade and Nugget that are doing well, which I started a couple years ago.

+1 to high hops. You get an actual hop plant as opposed to the rhizome. Depending on which side of Denver you live should not be a completely unreasonable drive.
