Default HERMS with a turkey fryer?

I was looking at my Frankenstein-esque collection of equipment, and I just now realized that with the brand new addition of a pump, I could recirculate and possibly use my turkey fryer as a heat source. Would it be as simple as a coil of copper tubing in the fryer, and make sure the fryer measures the heat correctly?

Is it really necessary to recirculate if I'm already happy with my end product? Am I gonna make things too complicated? Do I need a 'gear intervention'?

It sounds like you might be making this too complicated if you are already happy. Save your energy and money for when/if you want to move to a brew stand.
