Help with my new sanke tap for US kegs
|
|
So I just bought a US sanke tap b/c I want to start keeping a decent commercial keg on tap around the house. When it arrived, it was a little different than I'd expected.
Here's a pic of it: http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=16343
My questions:
1) I can see where and how it attaches to the keg. Screw on, turn black handle, despense product. Where does the CO2 attach? Is it the barbed attachment? Or is that the beer output?
2) What's the beer despencing attachment? What kind of faucet do I need to despense the beer?
Thanks for the help... this is what I get when I think I can build my own kegerator (commercial) from scratch better than I can buy one...

If i remeber right the C02 goes on the fitting on the side with the barb hose fitting on it and you will need a fitting for the beer out to go on the top if you don't have one already.
Cheers

Very helpful V. MAybe I can get it all in the second order... plus making an order for a specific item or two is always a good excuse to throw in a few pounds of chocolate, munich, or bisquite to have handy on brew day.

Oh, and thanks for making me feel not-quite-so dumb

Anybody know the part number for the tap that goes along with the American Sanke tap?

clarification: I'm referring to a faucet like one you'd have for a keg you get for a frat party or something - the same tap you use for your average corny setup, but with the proper fixture for a sanke tap.

You can use any faucet with a sanke as you would use with a ball or pin lock keg. You can use just a normal picnic faucet or a forward sealing faucet.

 Nice avatar Sause!
Co2 in the side, beer out the top to a cobra tap will work fine.

What i'm trying to figure out is how/what exact piece of the hose that's attached to the faucet attaches to the sanke tap? What widget do I need? Is it one of the three peices that Vermicous referenced above?
