Kind of an odd request ( please do take me seriously) .. i will try not to go into to much details other then my wife after having 2 amazing children has asked me to find her something to help her increase her desire to get in the mood....

she asked if there was a herbal tea she could drink or something.. (she hates pills and says she does not want it to be like taking a medication to fix the problem)

so i found some tea's that might work but then i thought about making a beer she could drink (obviously with her full knowledge of the ingredients and there purpose) she loves beer as much as i do.

So some items i found that are supposed to increase libido are..

Yin Yang Huo (horny goat weed)
pomegrant juice
ginseng
Maca
Rhodiala Rosea (rose root)
L-Arginine
Cacao (chocolate)
Saffron
Fennel
Nutmeg

so i am looking for suggestions on what ingredients i should try first and maybe an idea of how much to make say a 2 gal batch.
i would like to make it into a German pilsner type beer with these added ingredients.

i am probably out to lunch on thinking this might work or taste good but i though i might see what i can do. also i hope someone has more in depth knowledge of some of these ingredients as to if they will work in a beer or not.
all else fails i will get her the tea anyways.

Any of this will be easy enough to add to beer, but it's very unlikely that you'll find anyone here qualified to make recommendations about proper dosing for any of these chemicals. Be careful. The trouble with "natural" medicines is not that the don't work, but that they do. Your best bet would be to find yourself an experienced herbalist, ask for dosing suggestions, and then ask about possible interactions with alcohol.

I've never been to Prince George, but there were qualified herbalists all over Edmonton when I used to live there. Good luck!

yeah hard to find someone local that can answer my questions. (or i have not looked hard enough)
i can do trial and error but i would hope someone could give me a starting point.
Dosage is gonna be hard considering almost everything i read has different suggested dosages for pill form ie. orally administered but now i am going to have it diluted in 2-5 gallons of beer so i don't even know if it would work..

also good point on how it would interact with the alcohol ... i remember hearing about a beer made with viagra in it. was made in UK i think read about it in a Maxim mag like 10 years ago. so it might be possible .

it's all psychological, after a couple a few or more kids you just gotta deal.....otherwise just get her drunk, used to work back in the day

I appreciate the responses but they do not help me in my quest for the holy grail.... of beer.
it is like the black knight will not let me pass.... unless i chop off his arms and legs........

I definitely don't recommend cutting off her arms and legs. On a serious note duboman is onto something. The placebo effect may be the inky ingredient you need. The mind is pretty powerful.
