I just use a carboy brush to get stubborn particles off the glass. I suppose you could use a tablespoon of oxy and hot water if it was really caked on the bottle.

I get my carboy brush inside the grolsch bottles.

As a matter of fact just last night actually.

I have several dozen Grolsch style bottles and just use the same bottle brush I use for everything else with no issues.

I just squeezed the metal ring at the brush end on mine in order to get it to fit. Or you could go to the store (regular grocery store/walmart/target/etc.) and get a bottle brush from there. Chances are that will work just fine too.

If the bottles are nasty, give them a soak in PBW/oxy and then rinse.

What site and what cleaner? I've cleaned them before with no problems, like the others here.

I've had the [500ml] swing/flip top bottles come with smaller openings than long neck bottles. I haven't checked the 1L bottles in some time.

Not a carboy brush- a 'bottle brush'. The carboy brush is angled, for cleaning carboys.
