Green Flash - Holy crap. This thing is rediculously hoppy. The only way I can think to describe it is "gritty" - almost like you could chew it. Love it!

Racer 5 from Bear Republic might be one of my favorite beers ever.

Anyone ever have these? I'm from CT but worked in Phoenix for a while this year and they always had them on tap at The Yardhouse in Glendale.

This should be in commercial beer discussion.

Green Flash West Coast and Green Flash IIPA are both phenomenal.

I will be having a Racer X (the IIPA version of Racer 5) and I love Racer 5 too. I am so lucky to live here. :)

Agreed - wrong forum. I'll need to look into to the IIPAs though!

green flash is the SH*T. everything i have ever had from them has been delicious! their IIPA is heavenly, the best one i have ever had. and their hop head red has one of the best balances of malt and hops in a beer i have had in a long while

I haven't tried Green Flash yet but I've had several Racer 5s. Awesome IPA IMO!
Make sure you try Bear Republics Red Rocket Ale too. It's a red IPA described a a bastardized scottish red. It's my favorite "BIG" beer.

Bear Republic does a beer called the Crazy Ivan that is half Racer 5, hlaf Red Rocket, and ermented with Belgian yeast. Holy crap is it good.
