A friend always keeps a Citra Pale on tap for his wife and it's not just a "girlie beer". You said you are making this for one person? Can you ask her what she likes?

Oh Em Gee,,,,,insulting thread? I don't think so. And if you are insulted, Bee Ef Dee. I'm looking for a beer that is sweet with chocolate, or coffee or very fruity. Just want to find a beer that my significant others would enjoy. They like beer as much as I like wine.

Yeah, it is. It really is insulting. And whether you think it's a BFD or not is your choice but as a female implying that "girlie beers" are fruity or chocolately or dessert beers in an insult.
I'm a decent brewer, and don't think that being "girlie" was meant as a compliment. Any more than I think you're a pu$$y because you like lagers, as an example.
We have far more female brewers around than you may realize.
Anytime you point to someone's gender and say what is appropriate for them to like, it's an insult. You can think it's a "BFD" or not. But no one was rude to you, just telling you that it was insulting. Unlike YOUR response back. You were very rude to me by saying "BFD" and by discounting what I said. I would never say anything like that to YOU.
Real men only like barley wine anyway. Everybody knows that.
It's ok to not like beer, or to not like wine. You could make wine (which is often easier than beer anyway) instead of trying to find a beer that they may not like anyway.

Although the avatar may be confusing, if you haven't quite figured it out yet, one of our most active and highly thought of mods, is a kick ass brewer, who has a penchant for hop-bombs, and hockey, happens to be one of them "girly" types.
Oh Snap.....

And Tom Waits!
As far as desert beers go, I would go for something low abv. and thirst-quenching. It's hot out there! My girlfriend loves Red's Rye, so maybe clone that.

Maybe this is getting out of hand???? But Yooper is a g'ma??? That brews??? MAD PROPS. U've commented on many of my posts and those words of insight are always appreciated.
'Girlie' ya it sucked, but it was just a poor choice of words. The bigger picture is that he/she is looking for a beer to make for someone else.
Remember we are all here to help and learn... Sorry new parent 👍
