Na, keep the special-B, it is tasty, Perhaps use some other obscure ingredient and mash/boil it, not enough to really change the beer but some symbolic move that you know about and others you tell??

I went on a week long hike through the mountains and I took a rock from the final summit home and threw it in the mash and boil to commemorate the trip. So throw the particle in the beer, unless its already in there.....

Ok- I made one small tweak to the recipe. Added 1 oz of victory malt to represent a victory that is hard to find.

I am planning to brew this on August 10th, at night starting around 9pm. I am hoping to get other folks to brew around the same time. Now to figure out how to get a case to the crew at CERN.

Is there an extract version available? I'd like to do the 5 gallon recipe, but am not set up for all grain. The recipe looks great by the way!

I worked out an extract version. It should be fairly close. If anyone has a suggestion on how to get closer to a conversion let me know. Working with the ingredients readily available.

Beer has been made and consumed... well.. half of it anyway. I like how it turned out. Different tasting than the usual beers I make but nice and enjoyable. I will make this recipe again at some point.
