Default Frozen yeast

My son put my AHS yeast pack in the freezer...just found it frozen solid and put it in the fridge.

Do I need to order another one or do you thin kit will be okay by next weekend?

You'll need to make a starter to be sure.

the cell count has probably been greatly reduced if not killed.. make a starter and step it up or order another one.

I had a brain fart and put a yeast pack in the freezer overnight.
I pulled it out, let it thaw in the fridge, and put it in a starter.
The starter worked great, there was activity 6 hours after pitch.

The living yeast will just eat the dead yeast in the starter anyhow. Make a 2-stage starter if you can and then RDWHAHB.

Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna order a new one and do a starter...I'll be ahead of the curve for my next batch that way.
