Wait. You're not talking about beer, right?
You're talking about beer. That could have been a whole lot more fun.

It's only fair Mike, we in Michigan had any beer label with the word "Bitch" banned for years. I think Dogfish head sued us so they could sell "Bitches Brew" here. Alabama isn't the only state to regulate labels.

Flying Dog has encountered problems with their Raging Bitch Belgian IPA, also with printing their "good beer, no ****" motto on 6-packs.
IIRC, pretty much every time they challenge this in court, they win on 1st Amendment protections.

I think someone saw a Backwoods Bastard and got their overalls all bunched up. The label looks like what I envision a "trapper from the holler" to look like and it reads "Something pretty for yer mouth." I have a few tucked away...
For the record I wear overalls, own traps and love country living so this is no way was meant to be a snide yank slam on the south.
In all honesty I hope they get their homebrew laws changed before this gets fixed...

Honestly if a parent gets uppity about beer packaging, maybe they shouldn't buy any for their kids. So long as there isn't porn on there then call it what you want. Most brewers sites have some kind of age verification. I don't think kids looking at beer packaging will teach them words they don't know.

The thing about "Bitches Brew" That really irked me is that you couldn't buy the beer because the label was denied, but you could go over to the music section and buy the album from Miles Davis with the same name.

It's kinda like all those vega-tarians. Just another move that means more for me.

Banning anything because it has the word bastard in the name is pure stupidity IMHO, whether kids can see it or not. Kids these days are a couple of mouse clicks away hardcore porn, seeing the word bastard isn't going to scar them for life.

I don't get the banning stuff personally.
Up here we had the provincial liquor stores refuse to carry a beer called Smashbomb Atomic IPA because there was a cartoony 60's style green mushroom cloud and a cityscape on the label.
They also refused to stock the skull-shaped bottle that Crystal Skull Vodka was originally released in.
