Default ESB: Style or Brand?
Just got done with my latest "ESB" and I was trying to explain what an ESB was to my brother when I realized that ESB is not really a strict "style" but a brand type of ale (Fullers and others). I have been unable to locate a strict style interpretation of prototype ESB. Can anyone link to one? Mine is a little sweet, dark brown color, a lot of hop nose, full mouthfeel and just a little bitter finish. Very drinkable and good with food.
