I dont think you were talking to me, but I love the dunkel that I have on tap and this is the recipe... I went to a brewery in Richmond recently and there Dunkelweizen tasted a lot like this recipe...

7lbs Wheat LME
1 lb Caramunich
1/4lb Chocolate Malt

1/2 oz. Perle [:60]
1/2 oz. Saaz [:05]

WLP300 Hefeweizen Ale Yeast

Steeped specialty grains for 30 minutes at approx. 158 degrees...

just wanted to share...

Still deciding, it'll be a little while before i make mine.

so far mine's gonna be:

Munich Malt - 6 oz
CaraMunich - 8 oz
Chocolate - 2 oz
5.5 lbs Wheat DME

0.75 Tettnanger - 60 min
0.75 Saaz - 5 min (maybe 15 min)

i was also thinking of adding a VERY small amount of coriander or possibly acid malt

Default Death in the Desert Dunkel-Weisse

Here's my final recipe. This will be kegged for our Desert trip in November, so i have some time before i brew it. the only thing i might do different is replace all the hops with one 60 min 1 ounce addition of our homegrown hallertau
