Don't feel too bad about gushers...
 

I recently purchased a sixer of Sam Adams and each one gushed. Even the pros can make mistakes.

Unfortunately I've had gushers before too. It happens.

It's funny to hear this again. I used to brew quite a lot about 15 years ago and just recently got back into it, but am kegging this time. I recall scotch ale I made and was all excited about. Every single bottle we opened gushed and emptied nearly the entire bottle by itself under pressure. Think low GPM firehose! It was quite disappointed and still don't know what happened to that batch??
