I like brewing beers that use flaked corn and flaked wheat but its expenisive at my LHBS. Everything else is cheaper after shipping at my LHBS so I would like to continue buying from them for most of my stuff. I would like to purchase a bunch of flaked corn and wheat to last me a year to save on shipping but does this stuff go bad if it sits for a year or can i buy a much and keep it in a cool dark place?

Yes it goes bad, but not within a year if sealed, kept cool (preferably frozen but not necessary) and in a dark place.

i dont have much room in my fridge so it will be stored around 68-70 but ill just try and order enough for a year. It lasts longer than cracked grains right? How long do they last
