Has anyone brewed this recipe from the brewing network? If so how did It come out.I just brewed it yesterday. I can't get Moose Drool where I live but it sounds pretty good.

It was a great american brown for me. I brewed that recipe a number of years ago and I liked it. I was thinking about brewing it again actually.

I get real drool here and buy it pretty often. It is a great beer and comes in a can here.

I am drinking it now, very good brown ale. I entered it in a comp. and it didnt do so well....28. They complained about no aroma. I beg to differ, but it doesnt have much hop aroma, it is a very much malt forward beer but with some hop presence to balance.

I think it is an awesome beer with a great coffee presence. Very dark...almost to porter territory.

Never had moose drool, cannot compare it.

I entered it as a northern english brown. I didnt want it to get washed away by all the janets browns and arrogant bastard clones.

That being said, it is a classic example of the american brown ale category in the bjcp:

Commercial Examples: Bell’s Best Brown, Smuttynose Old Brown Dog Ale, Big Sky Moose Drool Brown Ale, North Coast Acme Brown, Brooklyn Brown Ale, Lost Coast Downtown Brown, Left Hand Deep Cover Brown Ale
