Default Crystalweizen?

I brewed up a pretty fantastic Paulaner Hefe clone doing my first ever decoction mash. Things went great and the first ten gallons were cloudy and GREAT! Now, a month and a half later the other 5 Gallons has been sitting in the kegerator. I drank a glass or two the last couple days and the color has darkened and the beer is almost clear. It tastes much better now than it did but doesn't really look like a hefeweizen anymore. It smells and tastes like one but is almost see through. Is it basically a Crystalweizen now? Thanks for the assistance.

Peter

6 weeks in the fridge has probably caused a lot more yeast to drop out, thus the lack of cloudiness and the darker color. While a crystalweizen would technically be filtered, yours is probably pretty close. But hey, if it tastes good, who cares? Enjoy!

I have an American wheat on tap now that I filtered ala crystalweizen. Clear enough to read a magazine through it - and suddenly all my "oh, I don't like wheat beer" friends cant get enough of it. I might just start filtering all my wheat beers.

You can either shake the keg to make it cloudy again or enjoy the beer as a kristallweizen.
