Anybody have any idea how much caffeine is extracted when adding beans to the fermenter?

I recently did an imperial stout with 1/2 lb. of coffee beans in the secondary- I'm curious as to how much caffeine I can expect per bottle.

Good question. There is about 50 cups of coffee per pound and 60 bottles of beer per 5 gallons, so roughly a half a cup of coffee per bottle of beer.

Of course it's late and I'm in bed, so my numbers could be way off. :p

I would say very little. One source states coffee brewed with a cold extraction method yields up to 25% less caffeine. That's with the beans being fine ground. I don't see getting much of anything by throwing whole beans in a secondary.
