Default Burnt paint smell with Bayou Classic SQ14 Burner

Last week I did my first full boil with a Bayou Classic SQ14. I didn't realize I needed to do a test burn to burn off the paint. I noticed the smell for about 20 minutes while I was trying to boil 6 gallons of water. Are the paint fumes going to harm the beer any?

I would say no, they can harm you though. From here on out you should be good to go.

Concentrate the fumes and sniff, Kill off a few billion brain cells.

Just kidding, I would bet that the worst is already gone and unless you divert the fumes directly onto the wort I would bet that nothing of note will get into your beer.

I did the same thing with my burner SQ14. I inhaled those fumes during the brew session but the beer turned out great. No worries.
