I wonder?! I've been watching that since Gary's Homebrewer TV went south. I really liked that one too.

It was totally falling apart for the last few episodes anyway. The hop video was just a bunch of crap. It was like a commercial for HopUnion and Northern Brewer. Nothing of substance at all. If you watch the first 40 episodes vs the last 10, worlds apart. If the new videos are going to be like that, there's no point in even doing a video. The sour beer episode is fantastic. The open fermentation episode, the lager workarounds episode, all awesome. But those were long ago. The lastest ones are nothing compared to them.

They haven't had a decent episode in a while. I thought they really had something pretty good there for a while. NB must have put the kibosh on the funding or something of that nature.

I've been going back and watching old eps recently. Really great stuff in there. Not sure if it's just because Dawson and Keeler left, but the recent ones pale in comparison. I did just find Dawson's blog - The Beer Engine - http://thebeerengineblog.com/ which is great but not BrewingTV

I'd like to see Homebrewer TV come back. Gary's a member here. His PHD & up beat attitude were quite likeable.

While I agree that the last few episodes were not as good and some in the past... It is still one of the best Homebrewing videos on the web.

They are in a transition period, go back and watch the first episode, not great but they figured it out. I hope they stick with it...

There was a thread a while back about the fate of BTV. Chip is on here too, and commented: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f19/wtf-happened-btv-352248/

I really hope he is able to turn it around. I agree that the the HopUnion was was kind of a dud. It is hard to match the Dawson/Keeler presence.

Maybe if everyone stopped bitching about how bad it has been recently they would be more likely to continue to try and figure it out in the post Dawson/Keeler era. Not every transition can run as smoothly as Peyton Manning to Andrew Luck (that's right, I used a football analogy). I have faith after going back and watching a few solo Chip videos like the Clemifornication one that this can continue to be done and done well so long as there is a desire to do it and support for it from the community. Keep it up and avoid the naysayers.

If the show continues to suck, they might as well quit making it and people should complain that it has turned into a 20 minute infomercial for Northern Brewer. Before it was subtle promo which was elegant and integrated. And people can complain if they want because their complaints are legit. Dawson should make his own video show.
