Default Brewing with friends

There isn't really a point to this post aside from seeing if others feel the same way.

I am still new at this and brewed my 6th batch (a honey porter) today. Up until this point I've brewed all of my batches by myself, or with my SWMBO in the other room. I have a friend who has been getting very interested in craft beer and he wanted to come over when I brewed a batch.

I already enjoyed brewing but I must say it was a lot more fun with someone interested in the process to keep me company. It was also nice to have someone to watch for boil overs and to pour malt extract while I stirred.

We both had a really good time and he wants to come by next time I brew. So, do all of you enjoy brewing with others or do you feel that it is better as a solitary activity?

I love brewing with other people! unfortunatly I don't have a brew partner anymore so this is an open invite to any brewer on the CT shoreline. I am in Old Saybrook and always looking to brew. shoot me a PM to set something up

I wish I had some help with brewing and bottling. I only have help with emptying the bottles!

Yeah, I had a friend flake out on me twice, so I've never bothered to invite him to brew since. And one of SWMBO's friends husband wanted to help, but the the wives had a fight and the husbands aren't allowed hang out anymore.

I pretty much just brew solo, although I have met a couple of other Las Vegas brewers, so maybe one day we'll all have a big brew day!

I've only brewed solo. I have an old friend coming through town in a few days though and we are going to brew a barleywine. He's pumped. He's made quite a bit of mead and really wants to learn the beer process. Since I"m AG I think he will really get an insight to the process. I suspect he will start brewing beer no longer after. Not to mention, we are going to get schwilly on homebrew during the brew.

I love doing group-brews with people. The only time I've had someone just hang out and watch... eh, he was interested, but interested in other things, too... so he ended up hanging out in the house more than brewing with me.

But yeah, nothing's more enjoyable than the Yankee Ingenuity gatherings.

Are you doing FG or PM yet? You might just have some people showing up to see the process if you are

Since I've moved, I haven't found anyone to brew with. Guess I'll have to learn to brew in Spanish!

My buddies like to help with the brewing because they know I let them take a bunch more home if they do. I don't mind brewing by myself either, but if I had the choice it's nice to have someone to talk to - especially when they're interested in the process and not just the result.

I would brew with a buddy every time if I could, but I still enjoy brewing even if it's just me.

I'm getting together 3-4 friends in a few weeks who have never brewed but are interested. We're also going to let the SWMBOs carve pumpkins with the squids and then cook some steaks on the barbi to wrap things up. Should be a great time!
