Default Brewer Yeast tablets for dogs?

So I was shopping online for some anti itch cream for my awesome Black pug "Tequila" and saw the website petmeds.com had brewers yeast tablets for dogs...I have nottyham yeast laying around was thinking about giving him some after I read its good for dogs. But makes me wonder it can't be the same thing..can it?

Prolly is, Brewer Yeast is also sold as a powder in nutritional aisle and health food stores. It's natures B vitamin.

I'm not sure but I have given my dogs Brewers Yeast pills in the past. They love them.
