Default Bo's Solar Eclipse Imperial Stout

WOW! Now, I love a hearty stout. This is taking that to the next level. Are there many other stouts which are this high in alcohol? That's just crazy. Wish I had the means to try a pint.

This is awsome does anyone have a high abv stout they would trade? Preferably one that tastes good also.

The only stout I have had of that magnitude is Worldwide Stout from Dogfish Head. It usually runs around 18% abv however, the 2002 batch clocked in at 23%.

Its not a stout, but Sam adams has something called utopia which runs about 25%. It supposed to be really good, but I heard its crazily expensive. Not to mention, difficult to find and illegal in several states.

I've had Sam Adama Utopias the last 2-3 years at Great American Beer Festival in Denver. It is indeed very strong and in talking with Jim Koch, they acheive this level of alcohol strictly from the yeast.

Dumb question but is that stuff even carbonated? I've been curious about that. Does it still taste like beer in any respects?

Not very carbonated at all. More sherry like than beer.
