Best Brewers Festival for Vacation?

Every year my wife and I take a vacation. This year we have decided to drive from our home in California to the Pacific Northwest; Oregon and/or Washington. We have been looking at some Brewery tours and festivals. We found the Oregon Brewers Festival this July. The web page says there are 80 different brews. This is one possibility. We would like some advice in planning our annual vacation. Should we go to Portland? Should we go somewhere else? We will probably go for 7-10 days. We usually rent from VRBO and bring our dog. Any help and/or advice is appreciated.

I would think the Great American Beer Festival in Denver would be the one to attend.

We are thinking about that too. Anyone have any feedback on the Portland area? I have never been there.
