Default Beer style reference?

I have found some sites with the rundown on different beer styles (just descriptions), but what I am really looking for is a base to start from since I just started all-grain brewing. What I mean is, where can I find a reference of say, an IPA, in its most simple form, and a "base recipe" of the must include grains, IBU range, et cetera...

A great resource for styles is the BJCP Guidelines http://www.bjcp.org/stylecenter.php

Beersmith does include some info on styles, too, as you suggested.

Brewing Classic Styles. It's basically The Jamil Show condensed into a book.
