Tonight it's Ayinger Oktoberfest. Only because it was on sale for $19.00 a case (and has great 1/2 liter bottles for future homebrew bottling). I'm between drinking homebrew batches. But if it were ready, my Dusseldorf Alt!

Old Ale or a Scotch wee heavy.

Maybe a barleywine.

Wish I had thought of brewing one ahead of time. :(

edit: Oh, and a happy solstice to all!

I'll be drinking a Tannen Bomb or two. Maybe some of the Brown Porter on tap. Had both yesterday, just in case the Solstice was early this year.:mug:

Edit: Dang! It's LATE this year. Good thing I got a case of t'Bomb.

I celebrated with a Wassail Cyser. Delicious stuff. I only drank a pint and it took me two hours to sober up.

winter solstice calls for a stout or barleywine
summer solstice begs for wheat or light ale

both drank at stonehenge:rockin:

I picked up a Double Chocolate Stout, and that seems a nice, rich brew for a winter solstice evening.

I've historically gone for rich red wines on the winter solstice, but I think this year will be a break from tradition. New hobby and all. ;)
