Default Beano tablet

Hey guys a blueberry wheat recipe stats to put in one crushed up beano tablet before pitching the yeast.

What is a beano tablet and what does it do and do I need it?

I can't answer any question about why the recipe calls for Beano... but I can tell you what it is. It's a tablet you would ingest before eating foods that would make you fart. It prevents the creation of gas in your body.

It will act as an anti foaming agent like ferm cap s. to keep the krousen down.

That is a very interesting read. I just lost 22lbs by going low carb for 2 months, and I'm trying to stall putting it back on. I think I will play with some beano.

you can also use amylase enzyme from your LHBS. I don't make wine, but if you add a little to your secondary fermentation of beer, it finishes fermenting all the sugars, and give the beer a very crisp finish, similar to the Miller Lites of the world;
