Just do what I do...1/2 of all beer I buy must be something I have never had. I usually buy a 12 pack a week so a 6 of something I like then a 6 of something new, or maybe a bomber. I've been doing this for two-three years and I have literally tasted every hoppy IPA in my local store, and they have a nice selection.

Now I am basically forced to try other types...really enjoyed DFH Uncontinent a few weeks ago. I just had a pepper ale last night that was aweful...but its still fun and exciting to try new beers.

I was in the same boat for a while. Switched to APAs, and then had my first milk stout. Big stout guy now...
