Default Amazing Ferment

Brewed a double batch of Northern Brewer's "Oak Barrel Porter" this weekend and pitched Wyeast English Ale that I built up into two starters. Glad I used blowoff tubes. It's the most energetic ferment I've ever seen. Here's a video.

What is the fermentation temperature?

I have found that dark beers always require a blowoff tube. For whatever reason they go crazy. Nice fermentation though!

Room temp is in the low 70's. After a collar for the keezer, the next project is an insulated fermentation chamber to cool that down some.

I brewed a big stout a couple weeks ago and it went crazy at around 62F. Blow off was a necessity
