Brewed a double batch of Northern Brewer's "Oak Barrel Porter" this weekend and pitched Wyeast English Ale that I built up into two starters. Glad I used blowoff tubes. It's the most energetic ferment I've ever seen. Here's a video.http://vimeo.com/user5623750/review/53854948/deb8b52af7
What is the fermentation temperature?
Life is tough. It's tougher if you're stupid.
I can't think of anything worse after a night of drinking than waking up next to someone and not being able to remember their name, or how you met, or why they're dead.
I have found that dark beers always require a blowoff tube. For whatever reason they go crazy. Nice fermentation though!
Room temp is in the low 70's. After a collar for the keezer, the next project is an insulated fermentation chamber to cool that down some.
I brewed a big stout a couple weeks ago and it went crazy at around 62F. Blow off was a necessity
