Default Adding Cherry Extract to a Tapped Keg...Yea or Nay

Basically I made a "Dark Cherry Stout" and added one bottle (I think they are 5oz) of Cherry Extract at kegging. It aged and is now on tap...and as a Stout its good...but if I didn't know I added the cherry, I'd say it was just a boring stout.

I want to vent the keg and stir in another bottle of Cherry Extract...

Anyone think of any reason why that would be a bad idea?
I mean if it's all sanitized and I re-vent the air that gets in there when I open it, the beer should be fine right?

Just dump the extract in, repressurize and shake the keg to mix.

When I use extract, I mix it with about an ounce of vodka. The extract should be sterile already, but the vodka makes sure.

I would add half the extract first. Mix it, let it sit, then taste and decide if it needs the rest. Remember, you can put more in the keg, but you can't take it back out.

Thanks.

The paranoia in me was just jumping at the thought of disturbing the "final beer"

I like the idea of the vodka though...never hurts to have a bit more alchy
