The BeerGun from Blichmann Engineering is a revolutionary new bottle filler that eliminates the complication and time-consuming operation and cleaning of traditional counter pressure (CP) bottle fillers used to fill bottles from kegs. The Quiescent Flow Technology of the BeerGun eliminates the complication of CP fillers, while maintaining the primary function – purging a bottle with CO2 (no oxygen pick-up) and filling it with minimal foaming and carbonation loss.

Price: $69.99
Pros: Easy to use. Easy to Clean
Cons: So far nothing, other than cost.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: After having problems with over carbonation in my bottles, I decided to buy this little toy. I already have a kegging system, so I forked out the money for this. I'm glad I did. Very easy to use, and disassemble to clean.

I love the fact that I can force carbonate my keg to my liking. Now, no "guesswork" and waiting for bottles to naturally carbonate. Also, the beers I've bottled have been pretty CLEAR, due to the fact that I chill the keg to around 37 F.

If I want to take some beer to a bonfire, or give a friend from work some brew, this takes about 10-20 minutes to set up, fill, and clean up (TAKING MY SWEET TIME).

I wish it was cheaper, but I'm glad I bought it!

Price: $69.99
Pros: Easy to use, easy to clean, effective.
Cons: I've heard the little silicone piece on the end can come off rom shock. Poor design on that part.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I was using the BMBF and had a couple entries into a comp dinged for oxidation. Maybe it came from filling, maybe not, but it was time to upgrade. If you have the cash it is a neat little unit that does what it says and is easy to clean up and sanitize. I run mine off a spare CO2 bottle so I don't have issues with trying to run the lines out of my kegerator or keezer.

Once you get the hang of it, it is pretty simple to use. A blast on the co2 trigger for a few seconds to flood the bottle with co2, pull the beer trigger, fill it up, remove tip from beer, one more quick co2 blast, and cap. I picked up some o2 absorbing caps too so I don't have to be perfect. Other than the issues that can happen with the tip coming off, it's a great tool.

Blichmann Beer Gun
Pros: Easy cleanup, easy operation...
Recommended? Yes

Comments: The BeerGun is great..!!! if you chill your bottles and set the keg psi low enough you can pour bottles with no foam at all... its takes once to get use to it, but after that you can bottle extremely fast...

Blichmann Beer Gun
Pros: Nicely made
Cons: Still a bit trickey to get a foam free fill
Recommended? Yes

Comments: The gun is very easy to use, although it can be a bit frustrating sometimes as it does foam more than a counter pressure filler. It is basically a nicer version of my home made filler that uses a cobra tap and a piece of tubing.

If you can stomach the price I would recommend buying the gun. It is well made just like all the other BE products.

Blichmann Beer Gun
Pros: Easy to use. The gun itself is easy to sanitize sveral ways
Cons: Tubing is difficult to sanitize. Some small parts that may become lost and render the gun useless
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I really like this product. It beats the old gravity fed wand and bottling bucket. It is nice that you can use it with a bottling bucket, but why would you buy a $70 wand? Since I have corny kegs I use those as my bottling bucket for beers I want to bottle the entire batch. The condition of my beers have improved greatly since I am pushing the beer with CO2 and keeping it away from oxygen. I alsouse it to purge the oxygen from the head space. I too use a 5 lb. CO2 canister, so the short hose is not a problem. I might rate this higher, but I haven't tried bottling from a carbonated keg yet.

Blichmann Beer Gun
Pros: Easy to use, let's me keg and bottle a single batch
Cons: I don't like the little silicone half-ball seal at the bottom
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I like this thing. I didn't have to "tune" it at all like others mentioned - just plugged it in at 3 psi and bottled away. I used a second CO2 bottle to eliminate the problem DrewsBrews had with the short CO2 line. The little silicone seal at the bottom seems like a copout for the design - they could've used an o-ring in a machined groove to the same effect, probably with better results, and it would be a simpler replacement part. I hope that seal doesn't wear out!

Blichmann Beer Gun
Pros: Easy to use, once you get the hang of it
Cons: Supplied CO2 tubing is too short.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I love being able to condition beer in the keg and then bottle some for friends/family/storage. Never have to worry about under/over carbed bottles this way.

My only complaint is the short CO2 line. Can't get the gun more than a couple feet from the fridge door and still keep it closed to hold the cold in. The beer line, however, is about twice as long. Oh... and plan on building some kind of rack. It's a pain to keep the thing from falling over onto the ground. I've been setting it in a glass baking dish but the short CO2 line keeps trying to pull it out when I open/shut the door for more bottles.

Blichmann Beer Gun
Pros: ease of use, sturdy design
Cons: can be hard to clean
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Like many things in homebrewing it takes a little time to get the right touch but when you've got the pressure down, it'sa breeze to use.
