Price: $70.00
Pros: Works as advertised
Cons: None
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I use it to regulate the temperature inside a chest freezer. I stuck a rubber hook on the outside of the freezer to hold the thermostat and hung the probe inside, just closing the lid over the wire. It probably affects the seal a little bit, but not enough to notice. I'm not too worried about the temperature swing, as that little change in ambient temp is not going to cause the temperature of the beer to change nearly as much.

I get much better results than when I tried to use evaporative cooling to keep my lagers at the correct temperature.

Comments: Hello,

I have the Vissani kegerator (feeks like a piece of crap, but it should work for fermenting ales) ,and just bought the johnson temp control. My question is, where do you insert the temperature probe into the fridge? I was going to go through the CO2 hole in the back, but it doesn't seem like a good seal at all, and I'm also worried the keg will hit it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

Ray

Price: $49.95
Pros: Easy to use, no wiring. Tight, stable temperature control. Inexpensive, and did I mention friking easy to use? :p
Cons: Not exactly posh asthetically. Mounting hardware is a bit wanting. Some have indicated that the probe wire is delicate but i dont find this an issue as I treat my equipment with care.

Comments: Very good product with reliable functionality that is a breeze to use. It is not the sexiest thing on the shelf but it does the trick.

Price: $40.00
Pros: Simple setup and tight range on temp control.
Cons: Probe capillary tube is very delicate, so be careful where you install it.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Got it as one of the MoreBeer "Deal of the day" sales for a smokin price. When I converted a 3.9cf MagicChef to a kegerator the Johnson worked like a champ and keeps inside temp within a very tight 2-3F range. Added a muffin fan from dead computer and it piggy backs on the controller with the fridge so there is good air movement inside the fridge.

Price: $55.00
Pros: Works well, keeps my kegerator fridge where I want it.
Cons: Using it with a fridge that will otherwise go too cold results in a lot of condensation inside.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I like it, I love it, I want more of it.

Price: $59.99
Pros: Easy to Install, works perfectly, no rewiring
Cons: delicate capilary wire
Recommended? No

Comments: I am using this with my 7.2CF Magic Chef, and love the results. I have a thermometer in the fridge, and it is always +/- 2degrees of what I have the dial set to (Which pits the product specifications)
