Price: $60.00
Pros: Easy set up and use. Does what its supposed to do
Cons: temp control dial and knob a little on the smallish side.
Recommended? No

Comments: Good product overall. I opted for this over the digital based solely on price. It does what its supposed to do as advertised. Good, solid product. Wish I had spent the few extra dollars and purchased the digital.

Price: $40.00
Pros: works well cheap no wiring or soldering
Cons: bulky?
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Got this from Williams Brewing. The first one kept tripping the fuse but Williams took care of it pronto (A+ customer service). The replacement is flawless and very accurate. It was confusing at first to find out when it would turn on and when off but a few days of running to the basement to check on things and I've got it dialed in nicely. Great plug-and-play option for chest freezer conversions.

Price: $59.00
Pros: Great for maintaining the temp while fermenting
Cons: Expensive, and you need a fridge to use it
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This thing is a must for anyone brewing in an area where dramatic high and low temps can be reached in a few days time, like New Mexico in the spring and summer. I ruined one batch of beer when the temp jumped to 98 degrees in April and I had the ac off, then I got a second hand fridge dirt cheap and bought this controller.

Comments: Works brilliantly. Will see how the first pils turns out! Temps are spot on so far hooked up to my kegerator. Reasonable price - allows me to lager and control serving temp!

Johnson analog temp controller
Price: $50.00
Recommended? Yes

Comments: It does the job, seems to allow the temperature to swing a bit at medium ale temps. I haven't noticed any problems with the beer flavor wise

Comments: $50, and works fine for me. Just about a necessity in Texas or other hot regions.
