Price: $100.00 Pros: Easy to rack to keg or carboy for secondary; easy to drop trub/harvest yeast. Cons: Getting the rubber seal seated properly. Recommended? Yes
Comments: This fermenter is great for brewing large batches (6.5/7+ gal) and re-using a yeast cake, as it's easy to drop the grub and yet retain a healthy amount of yeast for the next batch. It's great for brewing when you need to brew a smaller beer to step up the yeast generation for a bigger beer (think Pale Ale -> Old Ale -> Barleywine all using the same yeast).

Price: $229.00 Pros: Easy to fill. Easy to work in. Easy to transfer. Easy to clean. Awesome for harvesting yeast. Cons: It is plastic. 3 legged aluminum stand is hard to fully trust. Recommended? Yes
Comments: I love having a conical fermenter for so many reasons. The minibrew is an awesome bargain for those of us who cannot afford the glorious stainless steel equipment. It is a far more efficient primary. It probably isn't wise to use it as a secondary for a couple of reasons. One, it's plastic. Two, the lid is a flexible rubbery plastic cap (a large cap, we're not talking about a bung here). Overall, it's definitely one of my favorite peices.

Price: $230.00 Pros: This is a great product. There is no need to transfer to a secondary fermentation vessel. It is less work and safer to transfer the lees or dead yeast cells from the bottom while you leave the fermenting process above untouched.
The 1/2 inch racking port threads are located on the side of the cone just above the settled yeast level. The port valve is for sampling, specific gravity reading and of course racking to bottles and kegs. Cons: With stand it is to tall to put in a refrigerator for those that use a controlled temp fermentation. I built a box for it to keep temps in range for fermentation. Not that big an issue. Recommended? Yes
Comments: This system just makes the fermentation process a whole lot easier. No glass to break. No lifting. yeast is removed off the bottom making the beer taste better. Racking into keg or bottles is much easier. Cleaning is easier and safer then glass carboys.
I also like the fact that the plastic doesn't react as quickly to temp changes as what I hear stainless does.
I have really enjoyed this product and would recommend it!

Price: $75.00 Pros: Light weight. Cons: No lid gasket. Recommended? Yes
Comments: I recently purchased a Mini brew fermentor at a screaming good price. It was used and I have been cleaning up up for the past few days.
I love this thing. Its light weight which makes it easy to clean. It also has a port for a thermometer and a nice large 1" bottom valve for dumping out yeast trub.
My only reservation about it is that the lid does not have a gasket. I'm worried about its abilty to hold a seal and the possibility of oxygen exposure during fermentation.

Price: $150.00 Pros: VERY easy to use Cons: the lid doesnt seal as well as i'd like Recommended? Yes
Comments: easy to use, clean and brew in. i have had any contamination in the 13 brews that i've done. it works really well to rack beer into a keg, no messing w/ the yeast at the bottom

Price: $149.00 Pros: very easy to use, easy to clean, easy to bottle or keg from Cons: the lid doesnt alway hold a seal Recommended? Yes
Comments: i have had the conical running nostop for 6 weeks with great results. the only draw back is that if you get it to full the foam causes the co2 vent outlet to clog and then the co2 escapes around the lid.....there is no way to tighten the lid.

Mini Brew Mini Brew 6.5
Price: $145.00 Recommended? Yes
Comments: This is a good piece of equipment.
Plastic Conical Fermenter. Plastic is HDPE and is thick and hard. It has two valves ( a 3/4" dump valve at the bottom and a 1/2" sample / transfer valve mid way up the cone). It is easy to clean, just fill with hot water and PBW and let it sit for an hour or two, then drain and rinse. No stains no flavor transfer. The stand is a little flimbsy, and the valves are nickel plated brass.

Comments: It's a nice device. But it takes up a little bit of room. I've gotten out of the habit of using it, but I'm trying to make myself start using it again!
