Price: $829.99
Pros: Easy to clean, over engineered!
Cons: Metal was a little rough inside where the cone is spun. Wet sanded with 2000 grit to fix.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: 4 starts only because of the roughness inside on the cone.

Pros: Easy to ferment up to 11 gal in one vessel. Easy to clean. Bottom dump and racking arm both work great.
Cons: Buy tri-clamp fittings. Must disassemble ball valves regularly to avoid potential batch cross contamination.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have been very pleased with the results I've obtained since using this fermenter. It is reasonably easy to strip, clean and rebuild between batches. I have worked in commercial brewing and have observed that the yeast cake quality and apparent yeast health are comparable to that I've seen in the industry. If properly cleaned, this piece of equipment is the best thing you can do to ensure your ability to reuse and repitch your yeast. I have had some trouble finding a fride/freezer large enough to fit this vessel however, so I've had to resort to rolling it around the basement in search of the proper temp environment.

Price: $600.00
Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Cleaning the 3 piece valves, not really too bad.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have 3, 2 on legs and wheels that I don't use in the Laggering fridge and one with no legs and no wheels. I recomend getting the wheels. I don't have to find someone to help me move them. I've made many batches in these and I am glad I have them. The only reason they don't rate 'Excellent' is price. No fault of the company.

Price: $400.00
Pros: Works great for 5 and 10 gal. batches. Easy to clean. Added legs makes keg filling easy as can be. Very easy to dump the yeast making for a clearer beer.
Cons: Pricey
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought the Blichmann 14.5gal. Fermentor from Craig's list as the price was a bargin and it was like new, the fermentor does what it's supposed to do and does it well. I added the casters and leg extensions to make it more manageable around the shop.

Pros: Seamless weld design, excellent engineering.
Cons: None!

Comments: After brewing my first batch with the 14.5 gallon conical, I will never (on purpose!) go back to carboys. The sanitization process is a snap and it fits in my glass front lager fridge.

Comments: I ordered one of these a week or so ago. I have not recieved it yet. I was wondering what size of freezer and models everyone uses for temperature control. I am wanting to buy one hopefully before it gets here so I can brew right away.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Unless you place it where it will ferment it is pretty damn heavy to move full of wort.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have had mine for a year and half now. I have ran countless batches through it and love it. Is it an item that you can live without? sure, but if you can afford it buy it. I wish I had two and I wish I had gone with the tri clamps just for the coolness factor.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

Comments: Ok, ive put 10 batches through this fermentor now. All I have to say is I will never go back to using carboys again. This conical is amazing! Cleaning and sanitizing are a breeze, and the tri clamps are brilliant. Ferment 7-10 days then dump, and voila your beer is in a secondary. Crash cool and almost everything drops out leaving you with a really clear beer. And if you like reusing yeast you need to give this a try. You always collect more than enough for your next batch.

Comments: I Have the 27 gallon model but there was no selection for this on the page? I love the Blichmann 27.5 and had to make a chamber and use a Ranco(R) temperature controlled air conditioner to keep it at the set point.

Pros: Stainless; large capacity; yeast harvesting
Cons: heavy to move if not in fermentation space; center dump valve low; multiple parts to clean
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Used it for a number of batches; harvested and reused a number yeast samples from these batches; have it in an upright freezer with a Love TS-13010 controller; i would give it 5 stars, but the system doesnt allow changes

Comments: This unit is the bomb. Ive only used it once, but it is trick to say the least. Im making a custom leg for it so it will fit in my thermal controlled fridge. As soon as Ive decided which brews I want to do in 10 gallon batches, It will be back up and running.
