Default Yeast types and Hop utilization

Will using different types of yeast change the way dry hopping a beer makes a certain beer taste?

I have 10 gallons of my frosted pale ale and the one with the tube of wlp 001 really allows the hops to shine thru on the front side. the other 5 gallons i used US-56 and it was good, but not as good.

Upon further review the one with the WLP 001 yeast has some more esters in it, not nearly as dry as the US-56. I like that.
