Default Yeast Date 2 months old... what to do

My Wyeast is just about 2 months old and is in the refrigerator. Should I smack it 2 days prior to pitching or a few hours before.

I'd smack it a few days before and make a starter. If you smack it and it doesn't swell, you'd still have time to get another. Assuming it's been refrigerated, I don't think you'll have any problem with it.

I brewed recently with a yeast that was over 1 year expired...it's purring away nicely right now...

Make a starter 4-5 days out for sure...

Do a search on "starters"...there should also be instructions in any one of your brew books...
