Default Too much yeast nutrient?

I use 1/2 tsp in my starter, and 1 tsp in a 5g boil. Is this ok or is it possible to have too much nutrient? Just curious.

You know what they say---any more than a pinch, and they turn into gremlins. I'd keep an eye on it. Those gremlins are mischievous little bastards.
