Default Temperature fluctuation in secondary

Hi all,

I've got a blonde ale conditioning in secondary right now at 50 degrees F. In the same refrigerator, I've got a lager that just started primary. In a couple weeks, I'll likely do a diacetyl rest at ~ 65 degrees. When the rest is done, I'll rack the lager to secondary, keg the blonde, and put them both in the fridge at ~38 degrees (I'll steadily work the temp down to this level).

My question is: will increasing the temp for the d-rest and then lowering the temp down harm my blonde? I'm already at FG on the blonde, but I don't want the temp swings to produce off flavors...do I need to be concerned?

No worries. The slight increase than chill won't be a problem.

Thanks Hammy71. Just out of curiosity, is that to imply that a larger increase in temp would be a problem? If so, what's a good guideline? Keep it below 80?
