I bought some Galaxy hops about 4 ounces of them a year ago from an LHBS who just gave them to me in a sandwich bag. I put them in 3 bags so I'd get triple insulation and I am going to brew a beer today and know the alpha acids in April were 14%. The nose on these things is nothing like they were last year so I feel like I've lost a lot of acids so I'm trying to get a semi idea of what the IBUs might be in BeerSmith and decided to drop the Acids to 8% as a guess.

Am I off on this guess? I'm only really judging by the nose. color of the hops looks the same but they just smell weaker.

Thanks! I came in at 9.19% so I'll adjust that in BeerSmith. I was pretty close.
