Milling under water at mash temperatures.......
I can across this concept while reading this book.http://www.amazon.com/History-Beer-Brewing-Rsc-Paperbacks/dp/0854046305http://www.meura.com/products-and-services/milling-plant/wet-fine-milling/hydromill.htm
Now, I just have to figure out how to get my ugly junk Corona knock off to work underwater.........
Does anybody know a brewery that uses the Hydromill?
Is it revolutionary, or just a novelty?
It looks like its best benefits are for commercial scale brewing.
...Without a doubt-
-but are any commercial breweries actually using these, and to what effect?
Kai was talking about it on an efficency podcast. I can't remember if it's brewstrong or basic brewing.
I agree it's only going to benefit the pros. Not much use in hb'ing
Finally i won't have to worry about my LHBS's mill exploding while we grind
New Belgium has been using wet milling since 2002http://www.newbelgium.com/blog/post/lets-go-brewhouse-2
Maybe I should get one of those..... nah my corona knock off works just fine!
