Default Reusing yeast from higher gravity batch

I recently made a honey ale that started off at 1.066. I used 1.5 liter starter of Pacman and the thing finished off with great attenuation.

I know that in a perfect world I would only reuse yeast from a batch less than, let's say, 1.050. Problem is that I just made a batch of 1.063 pumpkin ale and the yeast I used kerflopped.

So I need to repitch some yeasties, is OK to use the higher grav leftovers? Thanks for the help!

I'd pitch it. Would make a starter and then pitch the whole thing at high krausen...say 18 hrs or so into the starter

I don't see a problem with re-using it.
Going from a high gravity to low gravity will stress the yeast, but from high to high I have never noticed a problem, but use a blow off tube if you just rack onto the yeast cake.
Personally I would wash the yeast.
