I just racked my AAA today, and I had most of the whole hops floating. I used Nottingham yeast, so I had a super tight yeast cake at the bottom. My autosiphon never clogged, but I did have a couple of particles stuck to the outside when I was done.

I like the sink strainer idea! I've tried using paint strainers, but it seemed like they clogged my siphon even without any help. It's a great idea to hold the straining bag away from the tip of the siphon! I'll have to try it.
