Default Peanut Butter Chocolate Stout

Hi guys, I've searched around for this a bit but couldn't find any results. I picked up the ingredients for Yooper's Oatmeal Stout and I was considering adding PB2 as well as some cocoa powder at ~5 mins. First, am I going to impart the flavors that I want as well as the smell at 5 mins? Second, has anyone actually done this and what were your results? I've seen a lot of people say that they were going to add it to a beer but never saw their results. Any suggestions are definitely welcome. I don't want to do a full 5gal batch if no one has had great results. I may end up doing a 1gal test batch and ferment the other four as a normal oatmeal stout.

You may wish to consider fat washing: http://ryanbrews.blogspot.com/2011/10/fat-washing-using-fatty-or-oily-foods.html

I've talked with a professional brewer who made this at home and apparently had great success - his big tip was to use the PB2. Let us know how it turns out!

I did a partial mash version of this recipe.

Might be worth reading.

The PB2 and cocoa powder and nibs are added to the secondary.

Thanks, that was an insightful read and I hadn't seen that recipe.

The powered peanut butter should work well. Add some coco nibs or powered coco to the mix and it would be tasty.

The Chocolate covered beaver nuts kit from Midwest looks very tasty. http://www.midwestsupplies.com/chocolate-covered-beavr-nuts-all-grain-kit.html Amazon has the PB2 in 16oz bags pretty cheap too. http://www.amazon.com/Plantation-PB2-Powdered-Peanut-16-Ounce/dp/B004P4POZ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1360289492&sr=8-1&keywords=pb2
