Default Ok to move carboy after cold crash?

I've got a pale ale finished up in primary ( by sg) and intend to rack to secondary for several days, then move it to the garage for several more days for a cold crash.
As long as I move relatively smoothly from the garage to the basement for transferring to the bottling bucket before it warms up, should I be all set for keeping the settled yeast etc where it belongs?

Yeah just move it very carefully. Also a good idea to let it settle for an hour or two before you rack.

I was concerned that by giving it time to settle after moving, the beer would warm up, and some of the particulates would return to suspension. I suppose it is a question of the lesser of two evils.

The thermal mass will keep it cool for quite a while. Better to let it settle. My experience isthat if you use gelatin, it will settle even faster after moving.
