If you felt it needed to boil for 10 minutes, you could either add it to the main boil, or pasteurize it separately. I don't think it would matter. I'm all about the easy way, so I think the easiest way would be to add it at flame out. The second easiest would probably be to add it to the boil. The boiling separately just means another pot to wash to me, so that would not be one of my choices!
